Our board is comprised of community members who are passionate about ending child abuse.

Leslie Davenport Executive Director

Leslie Davenport, wife of Brian Davenport and Kilah's grandmother, worked as an Operating Room Instrument and Supply Technician with Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte prior to Kilah’s injuries. Prior to her employment in the health care field, Leslie worked with the Cabarrus County School System in the Exceptional Children’s Department. Leslie is currently working out of the home managing the foundation. Prior to Kilah’s death, Leslie was assisting with taking care of Kilah’s medical and therapeutic needs. The violent crime that happened to Kilah is what inspired Leslie to form the Kilah Davenport Foundation.

Brian Davenport President

Brian Davenport, husband to Leslie Davenport and Kilah's grandfather, is a Captain on the Charlotte Fire Department. He and Leslie have been married for almost 8 years and have 3 children and 3 grandchildren. The violent crime that happened to Kilah is what inspired him to form the Kilah Davenport Foundation.

Tamara (Tammy) Brewton Secretary

Leslie and Tammy have known each other for over 30 years. Although life has taken them in many different directions they were reunited when Leslie came to work at Presbyterian hospital. Tammy worked at Presbyterian as a unit secretary and administrative assistant for 20 years. Prior to that she was an underwriting clerical assistant for Crum and Forster Insurance. Tammy has been married for 28 years and has 2 boys, ages 26 and 13. Tammy has been in constant contact with Leslie from the night Kilah was taken to the ER following the abuse to the sad day of her passing. Tammy is still passionate regarding the work being done by the Kilah Davenport Foundation and anything regarding the crime of child abuse.

Justin Derrick Vice President

Justin served as President of Civitan at Spring Valley High School, Columbia SC. He graduated Cum Laude in Textile Technology from NC State, and in Spanish Language and Culture from the University of Madrid, Spain. He has 20 years of experience in textile manufacturing and research and development and is currently the Production Manager of Crypton Fabrics in Kings Mountain NC. He has been a singer/songwriter/guitarist since the age of five, and is currently involved in: “Live Out Loud” Charity Concert for Free Store and Samaritan’s Feet, Area 15, Safe Alliance, Kids First, Jimmy V Foundation, Victory Junction, P Strong/Levine Cancer Center & the Wounded Warrior Project.

Justin wants to be part of this foundation because of his passion for helping children and fighting the crime of child abuse. He credits his mother with raising him to become the man he is today. He has a lifetime of experience raising money and putting together charity concerts. Nothing makes his life more complete than helping those in need, whether with his employees or in the community.

Steve Eremity Trustee

Steve is a Heavy Equipment Operator for Hall Construction, which is based out of Charlotte. Steve has an extensive background in construction and can build anything. With his extensive knowledge and experience, Steve is an important asset regarding the foundation's construction issues and projects. Steve is engaged to Kirbi Davenport and is Kilah's father. He has participated in several fundraisers for the Kilah Davenport Foundation and takes the crusade to end child abuse personally.

J. Greg Hatcher Trustee

Greg Hatcher is a licensed NC and SC Attorney, Board Certified Specialist in Family Law, and founder of the Hatcher Law Group. He was named among the North Carolina Super Lawyers in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014. He is a well-known speaker and has moderated several programs including, “What Family Court Judges Want You to Know,” National Business Institute’s Judicial Forum, October 19, 2012.

Greg practices family law because he wants to make a difference in the lives of families suffering from domestic abuse. He is very dedicated to the plight to raise awareness and stop child abuse.

Liana K. Rebollo Trustee

Liana is a licensed North Carolina attorney in Wells Fargo’s Legal Entity Governance and Corporate Strategic Transactions group. She received her undergraduate degree in International Studies from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill in 2006, and she graduated from the University of North Carolina School of Law with high honors in 2011. Prior to joining Wells Fargo, Liana was a corporate associate with Robinson, Bradshaw & Hinson, P.A. As a sibling of an individual with mental and developmental disabilities, Liana is passionate about the protection of vulnerable populations, especially children.

Charlie Williams Trustee

Charlie knew he was destined for a career in real estate ever since he was a child. His career mission is to provide his clients with the best possible customer experience, while working diligently for the most successful outcome in each and every transaction.

A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, he has an in-depth knowledge of the Charlotte market. Charlie's background is complemented by his enthusiasm and strong interpersonal skills. Experienced with first-time and veteran home buyers as well as sellers and investors, he is devoted to further growing his business with the global resources of Premier Sotheby's International Realty.

In his leisure time, Charlie loves being on the golf course, traveling, driving anything with a motor, or spending time on the water in any form.
